Nuno Bento, project’s co-coordinator, presented last November 28 the OceanTrans project structure and preliminary results at the ISCTE-IUL’s Interdisciplinary Seminar of the Master on Sea Governance and Sustainability, at the invitation of Professor Maria Eduarda Gonçalves, head of the Master.
The presentation was entitled “The Transformative Potential of Ocean Energy Technologies”. Marine renewable energy technologies already tested in Portugal, such as wave energy and “floating” offshore wind energy, as well as the implementation trajectory of these technologies and the methodology used for analyzing their repercussions on the economy, were presented.
The Seminar was attended mainly by Master students, who asked questions about the technologies and the development of the marine energy industry in Portugal.
